Strength in numbers gives you the right choice

Allianz Global Assistance has a network team that is dedicated to managing our domestic medical network. Contracts with nearly 200 hospitals and a thorough knowledge of Thailand's health facilities equips us with vital information to be able to make the right decision at the right time.

Allianz Global Assistance has agreements with 194 hospitals around Thailand. With international and local travellers visiting many different parts of Thailand, the network must and does extend into all parts of the country.

Hospitals are rated according the standard of care they provide and their facilities. As part of Allianz's "Marco Polo" project, hospitals around the country are visited by Allianz's Medical Director. A report is submitted and the hospital is then given a quality rating.

This information is valuable when handling Medical Assistance cases. Allianz Global Assistance Coordinators have this information on hand and Allianz's medical team are able to make informed decisions about whether or not each particular hospital is capable of providing the level of care required.

In situations where a customer is yet to be admitted to a hospital, detailed knowledge of hospital facilities will enable us to select an appropriate hospital for admission. If the customer has already been admitted to a hospital, then the information is used to determine whether or not the hospital is capable of providing the level of care needed. If not, a decision will be taken to move the customer to a more suitable facility.

Apart from monitoring the quality of service provided by hospitals in Thailand, management of the Medical Network also includes negotiating good commercial terms with hospitals. Discounts on a broad range of hospital services helps Allianz Global Assistance to deliver cost savings to our clients. These discount agreements are built into the contracts signed with each hospital in the network.
