Essential Cover provides essential travel insurance cover for persons travelling internationally for short trips and includes substantial accident benefits and medical & repatriation benefits due to an accident or illness. Cover applies from when you leave your home to go directly to the place you depart from your travels, and ends when you return to your home.

The Insurance is automatically extended until your journey can be completed if your return home is delayed due to injury, illness or delays in public transport.

1. Accidental Death or Disability – NIL Excess

A benefit is payable if you suffer accidental bodily injury during your journey, which within 180 days from the date of the accident results in your death or a permanent disability listed in the policy.

Benefit for Insured Persons Aged:

Under 16 years:   Up to  1,500,000
16 to 75 years:    Up to  3,000,000

76 years or over:Up to  1,500,000
 

2. 24 Hour Emergency Medical Assistance – Evacuation and Repatriation – NIL Excess

Cover for emergency medical assistance including:

• 24 Hour Emergency Medical Assistance
• Hospital Guarantees – Bills settled direct, no need for you to pay the hospital directly
• Ambulance - Medical Evacuations to the nearest suitable hospital
• Repatriation to usual place of residence in Thailand or nearest suitable hospital
• Repatriation of mortal remains or approved local Funeral Arrangements
• Messages to family and Emergency Family Travel Arrangements

3. Overseas Emergency Medical Expenses – NIL Excess

Cover for overseas medical treatment if you are injured or become sick overseas, including:

• Medical
• Hospital
• Surgical
• Nursing
• Emergency Dental treatment following an accidental injury

Benefit Per Insured Person:Up to 2,000,000
 

4. Repatriation of Travel Companion – Nil Excess

We will arrange and pay for an additional return flight to Thailand for your travelling companion to return with you should you be repatriated to Thailand due to an accident or sickness.

Benefit Payable:Actual cost of air ticket (economy class) to return to Thailand

5. Compassionate Return Trip Home –Nil Excess

We will arrange and pay for a return flight to Thailand if while overseas your wife, husband, child, father or mother living in Thailand should die.

Benefit Payable:Actual cost of air ticket (economy class) to return to Thailand

6. Return Trip Home for Unaccompanied Children –Nil Excess

We will arrange and pay for a person to go overseas and return to Thailand with your unaccompanied minor children, due to your repatriation.

Benefit Payable:Actual cost of air ticket (economy class) from Thailand to the overseas destination and back to Thailand.

7. 24 hour Worldwide Travel and Medical Assistance – Free Collect Call
